About

I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach. I am the mom to two awesome red-headed boys and wife to my college sweetheart. I spent years feeling tired (exhausted really!) and feeling guilty for it. Maybe I just needed to sleep more or exercise more or just get over it?

After years of researching and experimenting and then being diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and hypothyroidism, I learned that the foods I was eating were really not supporting me. I learned how to eat in a way that nourishes my body and at the same time, I learned that the foods that made me feel good physically made me feel good mentally and emotionally as well! This so revolutionized my life that I wanted to share all I've learned with others. After years of study, I am here for you - to support and guide and encourage and love you.

I'm an animal lover, a nature girl at heart. I covet my neighbor's garden. I'm our family's badminton champ (but don't tell my boys - them's fightin' words) and an obsessive reader. I'm a green juice junkie and a recovering sugar addict. I absolutely love my life and what I do and I'm so looking forward to getting to know you!

My Training

I am Board Certified through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.

During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.

Prior to studying at IIN, I received my B.A. from Duke University as well as my M.A. from UCLA in counseling.
